These crucibles are designed so they can be reopened after the measurement, cleaned and reused up to 20 times.

Sealing with defined torque
The thread and the sealing tool designed for these crucibles with a defined torque enable the crucibles to be easily and securely sealed.

High pressure of 15 MPa possible
Thanks to this sealing mechanism and the seals, a high-pressure crucible can withstand an inner pressure of 15 MPa.
Sealing Tool for Reusable Crucibles (I)
A special sealing tool (Art. No. 51119915), consisting of a lower part to keep the hexagonal crucible base in a fixed position, and an upper part (turning head) that fits onto the crucible cover.
Sealing Tool for Reusable Crucibles (II)
The crucible is closed with the seal disk (gold-plated copper) by turning until a sliding clutch is activated, thus applying a defined torque. After the measurement, the crucible is reopened using the same tool.
Gold-plated steel crucibles
The steel crucibles (exact material: X2 CrNiMo18143) are plated with a 5 µm gold coating. This avoids undesired reactions between sample and crucible.
